Schools in Delhi to Remain Close for 3 Days Due to Pollution

Since pollution is the main concern of every nation, and it has become the need of the hour to deal with the issue. The capital city of India- New Delhi experiences bad pollution and after Diwali, pollution levels in Delhi are increasing at an alarming rate. The Chief Minister of New Delhi, last week called off an emergency meeting to discuss preventive measures to be taken to control pollution levels. 

Arvind Kejriwal has ordered odd-even scheme and preparation are going to start for it very soon. He highlighted the various issues that are leading to increased pollution levels in the state. One of the main reason was, crop burning in the neighbouring states. Talking about the solutions, Mr. Kejriwal has announced that schools in Delhi will remain close for 3 days. Moreover, any kind of construction work will not be allowed in the city for the next 10 days and use of generator sets will be banned as well. He also added that water will be sprinkled on the roads and vacuum cleaning will be carried out on the 100 feet wide roads. He also ordered that burning of the leaves will not be allowed and if done, the salaries of the concerned officers will be deducted. In addition to all these measures, Mr. Kejriwal also said that he will seek centre’s help and have asked for artificial rains through helicopter and cloud seeding. 

The Chief Minister of Delhi- Mr. Kejriwal is serious about the increasing pollution levels in the city and need the help of the centre government to deal with the issue. Apart from these efforts, we all need to come together and help in controlling the pollution as it is the major cause of global warming.
