Pink and Parched are Breaking the Old Taboos- Indian television entertainment news

Women are often objectified in the item numbers in the Bollywood industry with very little focus on their dignity and sexuality. The recently released film “Pink” has received huge appreciation from the audience. The film features Taapsee Pannu, Kirti Kulhari, Andrea Tariang and Amitabh Bachchan. The film has been able to project a serious theme about the modern women and the way they are being projected. On the other hand, Leena Yadav directed movie Parched also portrays freedom and oppression that the character of a woman faces. The serious issues are highlighted in this film in a mature manner.



Not recently, Bollywood has filmed such movies in the past as well. Talking about “Margrita with a straw”, “Masaan”, “Fire”, “Angry Indian Goddesses”, “Rihaee” also highlighted the women sexuality in a serious manner. Women should not be objectified always as a matter of sex but in a serious and mature manner as well. All these movies are a proof that Indian Bollywood industry takes this issue very seriously and their business is not just limited to filling their own pockets.
