As
the hurricane Irma continues to create a ruckus
in the west coast of Florida, the U.S. President Donald Trump releases a
statement addressing the people and the press. The president said that they
have got a ‘little bit lucky’ as the hurricane has deviated from its original
path and crossed touching the coast line of Florida.
He
also said that Irma was not expected to be that destructive but this will be a
later course of action to find the reasons. President Trump spent his weekend at Camp
David, the presidential retreat in Maryland monitoring the hurricane. On his
return to the White House on Sunday, he addressed the reporters.
He said that the hurricane Irma will cost the United States a lot of money. But, it isn’t
something that he is thinking about at this time.
"Right now, we're worried about lives, not
cost," he said
The hurricane has been devastating till now. It
passed through the shore of Miami and left the water surged through the streets
of Miami up to three blocks from the main shore.
Roads and houses in the city are submerged in
water and the streets resemble the picture of River. Over 3 million homes and
businesses have become estranged without power and other supplies.
The death toll has reached to four people dead
in Florida and 25 dead in the Caribbean.
The winds are flowing at the speed of 130 kmph.
Miami's deputy fire chief Joseph Zahralban
said, "The weather has deteriorated to the point where we're not
comfortable even sending anybody out to even evaluate the situation. So our
only concern right now is the protection of life, not property."
