Donald Trump
delivered his first UN speech which has already earned a good share of
criticism from the member nations he singled out.
The President said that Iran is among the "small group of rogue
regimes" and added that the US
has the power to "totally
destroy" North Korea is forced to do
something like that.
"Trump's
ignorant hate speech belongs in medieval times,"
said the Foreign Minister of Iran and rejected it to be a part of the UN.
There
is no answer yet on the destruction threat from North Korea.
Though
the President had the vision to target
the world filled with the sovereign state
to work together for the prosperity of
humanity, he ended up talking more about the ‘rogue nations’ claiming them to
be "the scourge of our planet today".
For
past some time, Washington has warned North Korea a number of times to stop its
nuclear weapon test. These tests violate the UN Security Council resolution
directly.
In his speech on Tuesday, the President criticised the
leader of North Korea, Kim Jong-un, saying: "Rocketman is on a suicide
mission."
"If
[the US] is forced to defend itself or its allies, we will have no choice but
to totally destroy North Korea," he added.
As
reported by a leading news agency, this remark made a member of the audience,
cover his mouth with one hand and the rest of the audience burst in murmurs.
Margot Wallstrom, Swedish Foreign Minister said while
crossing his arms to this remark, "It
was the wrong speech, at the wrong time, to the wrong audience."
Mr. Trump pointed out at Iran a number of times and
said it is "a
corrupt dictatorship behind the false guise of a democracy" whose
"chief exports are violence, bloodshed, and chaos".
Jorge
Arreaza, Venezuela's Foreign Minister said with a rejection, "Trump is not
the president of the world... he can not even manage his own government,"
Evo
Morales, Bolivian President said, an ally of the Venezuelan government -
tweeted: "I am not surprised that a multi-millionaire like Trump attacks
socialism. Our struggle will always be ideological and pragmatic."
