We all are aware that Republic Day is falling this week and the
nation is busy making preparations for the celebrations. The latest India news is, the Intelligence Bureau has declared terror alert for the
Republic day celebrations this week. The officials of Intelligence
Bureau have said that they have got information about various terrorist
groups such as Lashkar-e-Taiba to disrupt the function.
The full
dress rehearsal for the Republic Day is going on. It is believed that
it will pass through the same routes as it used to earlier. It will
start from Vijay Chowk and will proceed to the Red Fort. The officials
of Intelligence Bureau have informed the security agencies that
Pakistani terrorist groups are planning and may carry out a terror
attack on the occasion of Republic Day. According to the information,
ISIS is planning to carry out attacks by planting IED (Improvised
Explosive Device). They may launch wolf attacks, the kinds, which they
have done several times in the Middle East and Europe. IB has also
predicted that terror groups may make use of spoofed telephone numbers
to elicit information from security agencies about their mattes of
interests. Use of paragliders, drone camera enabled objects and remote
controlled flying objects may be used to carry out the dreadful
operations.
The save the capital city from terror attacks, Delhi police has made extensive security arrangements. The rail traffic may be suspended on 26th January from 9 am to 12 noon. It will be suspended during the time when full dress parade will be conducted. Earlier this month, flying mini or micro aerial vehicles is already banned by Delhi police when IB suggested that terrorists may use similar means to carry out their operations.
