According to the latest resources, it has been found that more than
40 people got killed and dozens got injured, when three terrorists
attack police training facility in Quetta, Balochistan. The attack on
Balochistan Police College, which is located east of capital Quetta
happened around 11 pm with gun fires continuously hitting the place. The
home minister of Balochistan- Sarfaraz Bugti told the reporters that
militants attacked the province by continuously firing. They had their
suicide jackets on. He also corrected the number of militants with
earlier 3 to 6. They first targeted watch tower sentry and after killing
the officials over there, they were able to enter into the academy
grounds. Later on, he was found tweeting that the death toll reached to
44 and the count of the injured people increased more than 118. This was
the third deadliest attacks that happened in Pakistan this year.
The
chief of Paramilitary Frontier Corps- Major General Sher Afgan said
that the attack got over in 3 hours after they arrived. He also told the
reporters that the communication of the militants intercept that they
belong to the Lashkar-e-Jhangvi group, which is affiliated with the
Pakistani Taliban. They were in continuous communication with the
operatives of Afghanistan. The compound was housing nearly 700 recruits
when the attack took place. Hundreds of people were rescued and sent to
hospitals. Military helicopters also overhead the place.
This is the first attack that has taken place after tension between India and Pakistan.
